There has been a salon on this spot for over 40 years. Luxe was born in 2016, and joined together with Simons Hair Design in 2018 when Simon retired.

A huge combined experience, and an established local clientele, Luxe has gone from strength to strength. More recently incorporating vegan cruelty free products, a more holistic approach, more extensive choice of services and a more contemporary feel to the surroundings. 

Hopefully we are able to cater to the needs of a discerning clientele, old and new.

We are Colour specialists, call in for a complimentary consultation. 

Eco friendly, where possible, we try to recycle as much as we can to minimise waste. And using planet-friendly products to reduce our carbon footprint is very important to us.

Kerry, Owner, Allestree born and bred, trained in Derby and shortly after gained experience travelling the world working in some fabulous locations styling the hair of the rich and famous, Bermuda and Australia to name but a few.

After gaining teaching and assessing qualifications, Kerry spent several years in colleges passing on her knowledge and skills to the next generation of hairdressers.

There began a lifelong passion for education. The past 14 years working as a Educator for L’Oréal and Schwarzkopf Professional, out on the road teaching seminars, workshops, organising shows and events for hairdressers.

She felt the time was right to come home to her ‘roots’ to start a family, and the Luxe concept was born.

Kerry’s background in training and a passion for customer service, combined with the need to be near family, the opportunity to purchase Simons hair design was to good to let pass.
